MY PHILOSOPHICAL APPROACH
I want to see more money flows to, and through loving hands.
For too long money has flowed to (rather than through) hands stained by exploitive capitalism, racism, sexism and the like.
We’re amid a collective reckoning, a revolution, with money at the center of our poly-crisis.
Yet I believe money is also a potent source of fractal healing: as we transmute our own shadowed relationship with money, our collective wealth consciousness will evolve.
The teachings within my body of work center around 3 core aspects to help you cultivate your own vibrant and healthy relationship with money and wealth:
STEWARD Wealth: Wealth requires, and desires, to be tended
Caring for your wealth—consciously saving, investing, spending, and sharing—ensures your money sustains you and the beautiful life you envision.
The act of caring for your wealth is a dynamic form of respect—a reverent honoring of this life-force that has flowed to you in the form of money. As Lynne Twist shares so beautifully, “What we appreciate, appreciates.”
It is both a privilege and responsibility to honor all forms of wealth, including yourself, your relationships, your physical health, your community, and the earth that feeds all beings—by tending to each with great care.
GENERATE Wealth: The source of all wealth lies within
You have vast inner wealth to share: the gift of your time, generosity of spirit, labor, and expertise, are the true source of abundant wealth.
You must honor, rather than minimize, the generous contributions you make to the collective, no matter the size.
Open to receive, with grace, what is given in reciprocal exchange. For this supports and sustains your own flourishing, which in turn nourishes continued generativity.
SAVOR Wealth: Wealth is only wealth when felt and appreciated
Having money doesn’t make you wealthy. You must discover your inner vision, align your decisions and actions with that vision, and allow yourself to be receptive to the full embodied experience of savoring your realized vision.
I believe that wealth is the felt sense of contentment, wholeness, and harmony between your inner vision and your material reality.
Savoring wealth allows gratitude to flow with ease; a deep recognition of plenty, an experience of satiation that inspires generously sharing the abundant overflow.
This work is dynamic. It is practice. It is done individually. It is done collectively.
I believe that the values integral to Tended Wealth — Interdependence, Integrity, Compassion, Liberation — must be infused into an evolved understanding and attainment of WEALTH.

A PEEK INTO MY OWN WEALTHY LIFE…
Our home is my sanctuary. It offers a rooted peace that nourishes every layer of my being and supports the fabric of this work I do.
I need to be in the wilderness like I need water, but sometimes I forget this about myself. I love backpacking, hiking, and cross-country skiing. There’s nothing like filling my lungs with fresh forest air, feeling my feet in a cold stream, or sleeping on the earth to quickly return me to my center.
My husband and I like to ride bikes for our dates around the city (beautiful bikes that he hand built) – going fast down hills to catch the sunset or ride through neighborhood streets carpeted with fall leaves.
Spacious time with my two adult daughters – whether it’s having a big dinner at home, taking them out for lunch, chatting on the couch while we knit, or taking them on vacation with us is more valuable than gold.
While I love eating at delicious Portland restaurants, sharing beautiful food with dear friends in our home or theirs is an unparalleled luxury. There’s an intimacy required for late night storytelling and belly laughs, isn’t there?
I run a very profitable business, yet only work with clients 36 weeks out of the year. This creates ample time for me to continue to build my body of work and pursue all that sparks my curiosity – a true measure of wealth as any of my fellow manifesting generators will attest!
I go on 2 solo + silent retreats each year to listen deeply within. My days flow from meditation, to yoga, to card pulls, to journaling, and hiking along a dramatic coastline. I tend to the fire in the woodstove, make endless cups of tea, and curl up with my slippers and knitting while listening to the pelting coastal rain – such a comfort to my introverted self.
For me, the purpose of a vacation is to step away from the ordinary routine of life, be it a few weeks in the mediterranean or a weekend camping in our bell tent lakeside. It’s about restoration as much as returning inspired with a fresh perspective on myself and my life.
I love creating or fixing things with my hands – knitting, sewing, cooking, gardening, remodeling – it’s a satisfying antidote to the very cerebral work that occupies my weekdays – and very handy for tending to our 1908 urban farmhouse.
And last, but by no means least, my wealthy life includes deep gratitude for the security of knowing that our money is well tended. We benefit daily from intentionally spending, saving, investing, and sharing our wealth in ways that support all that I’ve shared above.
I would love to know what makes your life feel WEALTHY, a list that makes you crush on your own life a little when you read it.
The beauty is that all of our lists look SO different, and together our lives make a fascinating, glorious, and beautiful world.
