INTEGRATE YOUR MONEY STORY
It’s rare that we have a space where we feel safe enough to speak honestly and vulnerably about our own experience with money.
Your money story deserves to be honored, woven as a narrative - rather than reduced to the results of a quiz. Your money story is as unique as your fingerprints, shaped by imprints from your lived experience and molded by the circumstances that your ancestors survived.
Even if you are aware of the many layers, nuances, contradictions, and complexities to your story it still may feel like a tangle of thread, never quite answering your question of “why do I struggle with money in this particular way?”
You may censor parts of your story - the extent of your family’s wealth, your family’s struggle, your “bad” financial decisions, your financial success - as a way to manage your friends’ (or even a therapist’s) perception of you, or to protect a friend from feeling their own money shame surfacing from what you share. In a culture where money is still taboo, belonging often overrides honesty.
When you share the entirety of your story, even the parts that make you wince, with someone who can honor, witness, reflect and help you weave it into coherence, a new level of healing and resolution begins.
It is from here that your steps forward along your money journey become lighter, clearer, and feel more peaceful - simply because you are no longer holding the burden of an unintegrated story.
This is where I meet you. I’m a Wealth Doula with over 13+ years of experience in supporting conscious individuals to develop a more peaceful and confident relationship with money and wealth.
It's common to put this money work off when unprocessed or complex emotions - like regret, shame, or grief - obscure your next steps. What is often needed is a held space for you to find new understanding, release all that you no longer want to carry, and align your steps to the financial future you envision.
After you conclude Integrate your Money Story you will:
Feel lighter and unburdened after sharing the complex layers of your money story with someone who can see you and hold a healing space to support inner resolution.
Articulate, then align with, where you want your wealth journey to lead so you trust that each choice you make allows you to enjoy your abundance while staying grounded and thoughtful.
Feel confident taking the next steps along your journey so you no longer feel indecisive or overwhelmed in this new terrain.
Preparation + Reflection
As soon as you say yes, you will begin the preparation for this sacred threshold you’ve chosen to cross. Choosing to initiate your journey to wealth is a thoughtful, conscious way to claim the life you wish to live.
You will be invited to create and protect both literal and metaphoric space before and after our 1:1 session, treating it like a retreat: unhurried, slow, with ample time for reflection.
Prior to our session you will receive in depth reflective questions, tailored to your intention for your session, so that I may orient and thoughtfully prepare for our time together.
Release + Align
Our 2-hour session begins with spacious time for you to share the nuances of your story with me - from the parts you’re proud of to the parts that carry the weight of shame. With an attuned ear I will help you weave the layers of complexity into a more coherent form.
As your story is gently brought into the light you are given an opportunity, in ceremony, to release the parts that are no longer needed, and allow a new story to emerge.
This new story becomes your steady guide, encouraging your thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors to align with your vision of wealth. From here we will clarify your personalized next steps - potent steps that are designed to mend wounds and build confident momentum towards your goals.
Integrate + Take Action
As you integrate all that has arisen, I will be by your side communicating on Voxer in the two weeks between our sessions, to support each step you take.
In our final 30min session we will refine your continued next steps and celebrate all that you have accomplished.
I’ll be right by your side to ensure you are well oriented to your path ahead - with a curated list of resources best suited for your journey to wealth.

Though I was trained as a Certified Financial Recovery Counselor, I am not a licensed therapist. I am very clear about the boundary of where my work ends, and where your work with a therapist will need to begin. I often receive referrals from therapists and refer my clients to seek therapy. Each of our roles is distinct yet complimentary.

I am none of these official titles. Each is a necessary asset for a well-rounded financial team.
Here Is a brief overview of various financial professionals. You can read a more extensive blog post HERE about who you may need or want to hire.
If you need help or are ready to begin planning for retirement, you may want to work with a Certified Financial Planner, a CFP or a Retirement Financial Advisor who specializes in retirement. CFPs often specialize, so inquire about your needs to ensure you have a good fit for the service you are looking for.
If you need investment advice, or oversight, you will want to hire a Fee Only Financial Advisor. Make sure that whoever you hire to advise your investment decisions is a Fiduciary and has your best interests as their focus (not their commission, ask how they are compensated).
If you want someone to manage your investments on your behalf, you will want to hire an Investment Firm* or an Independent Investment Advisor* who is paid 1-2% commission on all of your “assets under management” (AUM). Usually, a firm will offer financial planning and tax advising as a part of their fee.
If you need help filing your taxes, you can hire a Tax Preparer* (not necessarily a CPA) or a Certified Public Accountant* (CPA).
If you need help getting organized with your business income and expenses, you will want to find a Certified Bookkeeper.
If you have a complex tax situation or want strategic tax advice, you may need to hire a Tax Advisor*.
While I cannot (and don’t) advise on tax strategy, retirement, or investments, I do help you prepare for this work, so you walk into an appointment with clarity about your financial situation and confidence, rather than cowering to a professional's perceived authority.
*The best option is to do a search for this term/professional in your local area. Ask other trusted professionals/people for a referral. Interview people before you hire them to ensure you feel supported within the relationship

“My work with Megan was impactful and very deep. She held a safe and non-judgmental space for me to unpack old stories, heal wounds, and move forward on my own journey. She acted as a foundational touchstone during serious change in my life and has seen me through to the other side of my goals. I would highly recommend working with Megan to achieve, heal, and rewrite your own money story.”
- Naomi S., Leadership Coach
“As a psychotherapist in private practice for over a decade, Megan feels to me, at times, more like a seasoned therapist with her depth of understanding of the shadow of money, the murky stories handed down from our family systems around money, the emotional ties to money that live in each of us, and her vast capacity to hold her clients well in this journey.
Her care, gentle and timely fierceness, levity, genuine encouragement, and skill across multiple aspects of finance have me both deeply grateful for our time together and able to enthusiastically recommend her to anyone seeking a soulful and practical connection to finances. Our work together continues to be life-changing and I will definitely reach out to Megan for all my future needs around wealth.”
